Materuni Waterfall is one of the Waterfalls in the Mware River. Materuni Waterfall is located on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro Reserved, in Moshi area in Materuni Village. The hike will take around 45 minutes including walking through the village and picturesque agricultural land and deep rain forest along the way to the waterfall. it is the highest waterfall in Moshi – Kilimanjaro with an approximately height of almost 150 m. The area has a very tremendous land scape with a greenish vegetation and tall trees that makes a presence of a cool weather that will breathtaking while hiking. Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and is still an authentic tribal village with a traditional Chagga life style. The area is famous in growing coffee; therefore, coffee experience will be awaiting you. Will be getting a knowledge on how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed,cgrinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances - a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
